Huge congratulations to Gabriel Dansereau on successfully defending his PhD dissertation!
Gabriel’s doctoral work focused on how species interaction networks can serve as operational tools for biodiversity monitoring and conservation, including how spatial network predictions that quantify uncertainty can help optimise sampling of species interactions and yield indicators of network-level change. Two papers from this work were featured here previously:
- Overcoming the disconnect between species interaction networks and biodiversity conservation (2025)
- Spatially explicit predictions of food web structure from regional-level data (2024)
