Gabriel’s PhD work aimed to show how species interaction networks can serve as operational elements for biodiversity monitoring and conservation. He explored how spatial network predictions that quantify uncertainty can help optimise sampling of species interactions and yield indicators that inform on network-level changes for biodiversity conservation and management.
